Parent and his wife accept a Peace Poem scroll from Peace Poem Coordinator

Youths and Benny King, Hawaii president of the National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People, add their lines to
the Peace Poem during the King observance at Kapiolani Park on Oahu.
Japan students at Kobe Kaisei Girl's High School give
the peace sign as a greeting. They, along with a number of classes in
the school, sent Peace Poem Scrolls. Children at Lihikai Elementary School
in Kahului, Maui sent scrolls of peace poetry from 17 classes, with the
theme, "Peace through the eyes of children." These students were from
Ms. Rosa Stone's class.

French newswoman Leanne Curtis reports on the Peace
Poem Project for Channel Jimmie in Paris, France. The "Chroniques Pacifiques"
was aired in the summer of 1998.
